The Vancouver 32 was designed by Robert Harris of Vancouver, Canada and is described in Yachtsnet as 'a traditional long-keel passage maker with a great deal more interior space than many older long-keeled designs, aimed squarely at long-distance cruising'.

Reveller was built in 1988 and had two previous owners before the current owners bought her in June 2010. She has been regularly serviced and maintained, with several upgrades and renewals over the years to keep her in excellent condition. The standing rigging was renewed and a new engine installed in 2011.

The current owners say:

We sailed Reveller out of the River Tyne in the Summer of 2011 to begin a voyage that took us via France, Spain, Portugal, Morocco, Balearic Islands, Sardinia, Sicily and Italy to Greece and eventually back to the south coast of France in 2019 where we left her ashore for the winter intending to return the following spring to continue sailing. However, while we were at home Covid hit and our plans were scuppered. Nearly three years passed without any sailing and we reluctantly decided to put her up for sale. A couple of sales fell through in France because of delays by the tax authorities in agreeing the VAT paid status so we brought her back to the UK early this year and she is now standing ashore in Portland (Dorset) waiting for a new owner.

The Vancouver 32 is an excellent yacht for comfortable two-handed voyaging and she is a dream to sail. Long keels make for easy handling on long distance cruises but can have a reputation for difficult handling in tight marinas, but with its long cut-out around the prop the Vancouver has no such problems and we have found her very easy to manoeuvre into tight Mediterranean marina berths. Reveller has a feathering prop which is a great help in such situations as well as adding a couple of knots under sail!

The engine has done 1298 hours and was serviced in May 2022. Reveller was anti-fouled in September 2023 and is ready to sail.
